What Can Be Reported?
Correction requests may concern articles, headlines, captions, credits, aircraft encyclopedia entries, specifications, manufacturers, airports, museums, airshows, local aviation data, broken links, recurring live-aircraft problems, or recurring Flight Board problems.
How to Submit a Correction
Email corrections@theaviationdiary.com with the page URL, the statement or data field in question, what you believe is correct, a reliable supporting source when available, and the date and time you observed the issue. Include a screenshot if it helps explain a temporary technical problem.
Editorial Corrections
We review available evidence and may contact sources or request more information. If a material editorial error is confirmed, we update the page. A significant change may receive a correction or update note. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, style, or clarity edits may be made without a separate notice.
Database Corrections
Aircraft, manufacturer, airport, museum, and airshow records may be corrected when reliable supporting information is available. Some apparent conflicts arise from different aircraft variants, configurations, measurement methods, dates, or source definitions.
Live Aircraft and Flight Board Reports
Live aircraft and Flight Board information is supplied automatically by third parties. Because it changes continuously, a temporary error may expire before review. We generally cannot manually change a provider’s individual historical or real-time record.
Reports remain useful when they identify recurring problems, incorrect mappings, broken interfaces, persistent aircraft classifications, airport-code problems, time-zone issues, or missing attribution. We may correct our presentation, contact a provider, or clarify a limitation.
What Is Not Necessarily an Error?
A disagreement in opinion, interpretation, emphasis, or editorial judgment is not necessarily a factual error. Accurate material is not removed solely because it is unfavorable.
