If you have a registered The Aviation Diary account, you can permanently delete your account and associated account data.
Delete Your Account in the TAD App
The easiest way to delete your account is directly from The Aviation Diary mobile app.
Go to:
Account → Password & Security → Delete Account
Then:
- Enter your current password when requested.
- Select Delete My Account.
- Complete the final confirmation.
For your security, account deletion requires fresh authentication.
Delete Your Account Without the App
If you no longer have access to The Aviation Diary app, you may request account deletion by emailing:

When possible, send the request from the email address associated with your TAD account.
Please include:
- the email address associated with your account;
- your username, if known; and
- a clear statement that you want your TAD account permanently deleted.
Never send your TAD password by email.
We may request reasonable information to verify that the deletion request is being made by the account owner.
What Account Deletion Removes
The current TAD account-deletion process removes account-scoped information handled by the deletion system, including:
- your TAD subscriber account;
- mobile app account preferences;
- active mobile login sessions;
- registered push-notification tokens;
- Passport/Stamps records associated with your account; and
- your account-owned TAD profile photo or avatar, when present.
Account deletion is permanent. It is not temporary deactivation or account freezing.
Information That May Be Handled Separately
Information you submitted separately from your TAD account — such as an editorial tip, correction, business inquiry, or other website submission — may be handled under the retention practices applicable to that separate submission.
Limited records may also be retained when reasonably necessary for:
- security;
- fraud or abuse prevention;
- legal or regulatory obligations;
- dispute resolution;
- enforcement of applicable agreements; or
- documenting and processing a privacy or deletion request.
Any information retained for these purposes is not treated as an active TAD user account.
