Douglas DC-8-70

Overview

The Douglas DC-8-70 series covers re-engined DC-8 jetliners fitted with high-bypass turbofans for better fuel burn and noise performance than early turbojet DC-8s. Used in passenger and freighter service, the -70 conversions extended the type’s economic life into later decades.
